Ila (Pickersgill) Coffin, 101 years young, formerly of North Syracuse, NY and Fort Pierce, FL., passed away on Friday at the Nottingham Residential Health Care Facility. She was born in Charlotteville, Ontario, Canada. As a young girl, Ila came to the United States and the Syracuse area, where she was raised and educated. Ila worked as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Graduate School at Syracuse University. She also was the former North Syracuse Deputy Village Clerk. Ila loved the outdoors, enjoying camping and fishing. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed listening and dancing to music. Ila was a voracious reader and traveled the world with her husband. She was a former member of Andrews Memorial United Methodist Church in North Syracuse. Ila is predeceased by her husband, Howard L. Coffin in 1997 and her son Richard Coffin in 1990.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters, Lynne M. (Walter) Bellrose of Liverpool, NY and Wendie L. (Richard) Webb of New Bern, NC, two sons, John P. (Min) Coffin of Syracuse, NY and Kenneth V. (Patricia) Coffin of Liverpool, NY, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, her sister, Betty A. Fesenger of Canastota, NY, several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second St. Liverpool with Funeral Services to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be private in White Chapel Memory Gardens Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
