Irma E. Ross, 71, of Pennellville, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Phoenix, NY on March 28, 1951, she was the daughter of Harry R. Langdon and Beatrice E. Vincent. Shortly after graduating from Phoenix High School, she met the love of her life, John J. "Jack" Ross, and was married in 1972. They spent the majority of their lives residing at Idle Wheels Park in Pennellville, raising their two sons, John L. and Joseph P. Ross.

Irma was employed as a clerk at Stroehmann Bakery in Syracuse, until the company relocated to Pennsylvania. After completing training courses, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant at Elderwood in Liverpool. Being the loving, caring person that Irma was, this was the perfect job for her. When she finally decided to retire, at age 65, that began the first day of the rest of her life.

She was a very special person, whose loving, generous spirit affected everyone who knew her.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Most days, she could be found getting her morning coffee at Tasswood Bakery. She loved all books, from romance to word search. She enjoyed traveling, including driving up north every fall to see the changing leaves. For entertainment, she liked to see how long she could make $20 last at a casino. She loved eating out in restaurants, caring for plants, and doing puzzles.  Irma is predeceased by her husband, Jack, her parents, and her siblings Fred, Ed, and Harriet Langdon.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons; John L. (Linda) Ross and Joseph P. Ross, her grandchildren; Andrew, Hailey, and Ava, her brothers; Jim, Jack, and Harry Langdon, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, followed by a brief funeral service at 4:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
