James H. Beachel, 82, formerly of LeRoy and Batavia, NY and currently residing in Baldwinsville, NY, passed away on Monday. He was born in Medina, NY on July 28, 1941, son of the late William S. and Ruth Adelle (Harding) Beachel. James graduated from Batavia High School, Class of 1959 and completed his studies graduating from Morrisville State College in 1961. Previously employed at Gerber Products Company in Rochester, NY, Jim retired in 2002 from Anheuser Busch, Inc. in Baldwinsville, NY. While residing in LeRoy, NY, he was very active member of the Jaycees and Rotary. James was involved in Junior Achievement in Baldwinsville, Baldwinsville Hockey Organization, Oak Orchard Light House and Sunset Beach Association. James enjoyed summers at The Cottage on Lake Ontario where he was an avid collector of Beach Glass, often trying to beat all "early birds" to the morning beach walk. He had a love for history, the Buffalo Bills, SU basketball and golf. James was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Baldwinsville.

Surviving to honor his memory is his wife of 61 years, Linda (Cotton) Beachel of Baldwinsville, NY, daughter, Debra (Bob) Perry of Albion, NY, son, Douglas (Brittnie) Beachel of Baldwinsville, NY, four grandchildren; Katelyn Perry, Nick Perry, Cameron Beachel and Ella Beachel, sister, Sally (Charlie) Cole of Liverpool, NY, brother in law, Richard Cotton, several nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am.
