James "Diamond Jim" P. Brady, 84, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away on Friday at home. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son to the late Paul and Elizabeth (McNamara) Brady. Jim was raised and educated in Syracuse graduating from Syracuse Central Technical High School, class of 1961.

Jim was a carpenter for over 40 years with the Local 277 where he was past president of the Retirees Association. He was a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians and the Calvary Club, serving on their Board of Directors. In addition to his parents, Jim is predeceased by his wife, Annette M. Blais Brady and two sons, Robert Brady and James Brady.

Surviving to cherish his memory are two daughters, Sandra Benedict (Paul Mills) of Pennellville, NY and Christine (AJ) Davis of Brewerton, NY, stepson, Stephen Slaski of Syracuse, NY, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Jerome Brady, Michael Brady and John Brady, two sisters, Marjorie VonKnobauch and Patricia Kelly, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31 Baldwinsville, with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm. Entombment will take place in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum.
