James C. Broadwell, 98, of Liverpool, passed away on Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital.  Born in Syracuse, he has lived in Liverpool for the past 81 years.  He retired from the 174 ^th Fighter Squadron Air National Guard Wing at Hancock Field where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. where he served in World War II.  He was a former member of the Pairs and Square's square-dancing organization.  He is predeceased by his loving wife Evelyn (Wright) Broadwell who died in 2015.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his two daughters; Nancy (Francis) Jennings of Sylvan Beach, NY, and Susan (Robert) Vinal of Jordan, NY, three grandsons; Todd (Rene) Gustafson, Jason Vinal, and Kevin (Renee) Vinal, three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
