James V. "Jim" Kursar, 93, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He was born in Hanover, PA to the late John and Stella (Klansek) Kursar and graduated from Nanticoke High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal while stationed in Korea.

He later graduated from Pennsylvania State University and went on to be an Engineer with Ingersoll Rand in their Pennsylvania and New York State Offices.  He married his beloved wife, Elaine, in 1956 with whom he shared a love of theater and Broadway shows.   In his leisure time, Jim was a prolific photographer and developed photographs in his own darkroom.

He is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Elaine B. (Duncan) Kursar, a brother, John Kursar and a sister, Gertrude Uranowski.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, James (Kathy) Kursar of Liverpool, NY;  four daughters, Cheryl (Ralph) Robison of Canton, MI, Wendy (Al) Saginario of Horseheads, NY, Elaine (Jeff) Prinz of Cicero, NY, Mary (Craig) Nowlan of Fort Myers, FL; ten grandchildren, Jon Robison, Becky (Matt) Michalski, Ben (Aislinne) Robison, Matthew and Stephen Saginario, Amanda and Spenser (Marisa) Prinz, Anders (Ashley) Kursar, Kristian (Nate) Suarez and Charles Bupp, three great-grandchildren; Ainsley and Emory Robison and Jayden Suarez, and two nieces; Alyson (Joe) Kowalski and Kathy (Paul) Shedlock.

Services and burial will be private.
