Jane Parsons Axtmann, 104, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.  She was born in Syracuse, NY on March 24, 1917.  Her early years were spent in Phoenix, NY, until her family moved to Liverpool, NY in 1933, where she graduated from Liverpool High School in 1935.

After attending Syracuse Secretarial School, she worked for Travelers Insurance Company in Syracuse, until her marriage in 1942 to Willard M. Axtmann, the owner of Axtmann Insurance Agency in Liverpool, who passed away in 1963.  She later worked as a teacher's aide for the Liverpool School District.

Jane was a member of the Liverpool First United Methodist Church and was active in its Hickory Circle.  She was also a volunteer for the Tulip Street Senior Citizens Center at St. Joseph the Worker Church, for 17 years.  Jane was an amazing woman, who's affectionate and kindhearted nature was contagious to those around her.  Memories of her will live on in the hearts and minds of all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her two sons; Robert P. Axtmann of Minnesota and Richard P. Axtmann of Florida, four grandchildren; Richard W. Axtmann, Christina Mackay, Emily (Patrick) Kuisle and Sarah (Jonathan) Axtmann; seven great grandchildren, Rhiannon, Matthew, Logan, Virginia "Ginny", Whitney, Lucy and Paul, as well as several nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends, who she would call family.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 3rd, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with a funeral service to immediately follow at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jane's memory can be made to the Liverpool First United Methodist Church.
