Jean (Schmidt) Dupre, 74, of Constantia passed away on Thursday at home surrounded by her family, after battling a short illness. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was raised in Constantia graduating from Central Square High School. Jean continued her studies at Farmingdale State College obtaining her Associates degree in Graphic Art. In 1969, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Richard "Dick" J. Dupre. Jean had a life-long passion for the arts. She was a talented artist specializing in watercolors and acrylics. Her focus and love for painting the Adirondacks started 54 years ago on her honeymoon. Jean attended numerous art shows receiving various awards and her work is on display in many galleries in the Adirondacks, where she loved spending summers camping. Jean also loved to sail and was a member of many local art organizations. She is predeceased by her parents, Jack J. and Jean (Whitwel) Schmidt and stepmother, Evelyn Schmidt.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Richard J. Dupre of Constantia, NY, two daughters, Jennifer (Joseph) Schiro of Oswego, NY and Heather Dupre (Christopher Olin) of Canastota, NY, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister, Diane Lewis of Fl., several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY with funeral services to follow at 6:00 pm.
