On February 10, 2023, Joan Veronica (Weireter) Duffy peacefully passed away. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of Paul and Josephine Weireter. She resided in Liverpool for her last 49 years and was a communicant of Christ the King. A lifelong learner, Joan completed her Syracuse degree at age 50. Joan worked in banking and as an assistant in the Syracuse University endowment department. Joan's passion was her family. She is predeceased by her husband, John P. Duffy, in 2020 after 68 years of marriage.

She will be missed by her surviving brother, Edward Weireter, of Lakewood, NJ, four daughters; Patricia Zeiser of Baldwinsville, Diane (Robert) Gastle of West Seneca, Theresa (Donald) Meyer of Great Valley and Sharon Duffy of Ossining, two sons; Michael (Susan) Duffy of Cazenovia and Gregory Duffy of Baldwinsville, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews and their extended families.

Funeral services will be private with the Rite of Committal and burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Baldwinsville alongside her husband, John.
