Obituary

Joan A. (Imeson) Jones, 89, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Gordon and Olive (Younglove) Imeson. Joan grew up in Liverpool and graduated from Liverpool High School, Class of 1953. She worked at her parent's business, Imeson's Dairy until 1964 when she married her husband Jack Jones. They lived in Syracuse until 1971 until moving to Liverpool where they resided the rest of their lives. The couple shared a blessed union of 48 years until Jack's passing in 2012.

Joan was a homemaker while raising her children and later worked for her sister's ceramic business, Stylish Women and Ames Department Store, until she retired. She was a life-long avid knitter and many people were recipients of her creations. Joan also enjoyed watching sports of all kind, especially SU and the Oregon Ducks. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son, Gordon in 1994, her sister, Norma Piraino and her two brothers, Donald and Richard Imeson.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Doreen J. Jones of North Syracuse, NY, two step daughters; Sandra Conchas of OR and Joan Carroll of FL, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held privately in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
