Joanne Marie Rosen, age 73, of Liverpool, NY, met her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2023 at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Joanne (fondly known as "Jo") was born in Perham, MN on February 26, 1949 to Arnold and Jean (Matz) Rosen where she grew up on a dairy farm in Corliss Township near Perham. Jo graduated from Perham High School in 1967 and then enrolled in classes at the University of Minnesota, Morris, MN where she received her BA degree. She continued at the University of Minnesota, Mankato, MN earning her Master of Science degree. After working for several years, she then enrolled at Syracuse University pursing a PHD in Counseling Psychology.

Jo worked at the Salvation Army in Syracuse, NY for 20 as a Licensed Clinical Counselor. She retired from her position as Director of Family and Relationship Violence Services in 2017 due to health issues.  She enjoyed spending cherished time with family and friends and was an avid reader.

She is preceded in death by her parents, nephew Brent Rosen, great-nephew Hunter Rosen, and brother-in-law Dean Bronson.

Jo is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Merlyn) Dorrheim of Fargo, ND and Dr. Sandra Rosen Bronson of Washington, DC, two brothers, Ronald (Deanna) Rosen of Morris, MN and Paul (Pamela) Rosen of Wadena, MN along with 8 nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces & nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
