Joanne M. (Dishaw) Schrecengost, 72, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Friday at home. She was born in Syracuse, NY, where she was raised and educated. After graduating high school, Joanne proudly served in the U.S. Army. She enjoyed a 28-year career with the Onondaga County Parks as a Laborer for many different events. Joanne's main focus was taking care of her children. She was a loving, caring, independent soul. If you were to visit Joanne, you would find her at her table working on one of many jigsaw puzzles. She is predeceased by her husband, Karl R. Schrecengost, her two sisters, Patricia Dixon and Bonnie Carr and two brothers, Richard Dishaw and Glenwood Dishaw, Jr.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula M. (Kevin) Strowbridge of Baldwinsville, NY, her son, Mark A. (Sandra) Schrecengost of Syracuse, NY, two sisters, Diana Sears of Syracuse, NY and Sharon Dishaw of Massena, NY, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Joanne's request, there will be no services. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
