John "Jack" A. Velasco, 71, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at home. He was born in Syracuse, the son of the late John and Nancy (Terrinoni) Velasco. John grew up in Liverpool, NY graduating from Liverpool High School, Class of 1971. Jack continued his studies at SUNY Oswego, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Zoology. He was employed as an Insurance Executive for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company in Cortland, NY.

Jack was an avid reader who enjoyed history books and movies. He loved to go out to different restaurants, especially sitting on the water. Jack was supportive and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a huge NY Giants fan.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his four sisters; Alice Foriero of Liverpool, NY, Kathleen Koslowski and Denise (Chet) Mnich both of Cicero, NY and Debbie (Donald) Cooper of Liverpool, NY, two brothers, Michael Velasco of Bridgeport, NY and Charles Velasco of Virginia, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated privately.
