Obituary

John J. Brennan, 71, of Liverpool, NY, formerly of Glens Falls passed away on Friday at his son's home in Buffalo, NY.   He was born on November 25, 1949 in Treton, NJ to the late Leo H. and Edith (Cabucci) Brennan.  John graduated from Sayre High School, Class of 1967 in Pennsylvania and earned his bachelor's degree in 1971 at the University of Scranton.

During his 25 years of residing in Glens Falls he was a City Councilman for 8 years.  He was a 4 th degree member of the Knight of Columbus 194 and past Grand Knight, member of the BP of Elks #81, and a communicant of Pope John XXIII Catholic Church in Liverpool, NY.  John was employed in the food manufacturing business as the Vice-President of Sales for Granny's Kitchen and Maplehurst Bakeries, Indiana.  John is predeceased by four siblings.

Surviving to cherish John's memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Elaine M. (Muska) Brennan, daughter, Julie Erin Brennan (Marcus Mohalland) of Albany, NY, son, Michael John (Sarah) Brennan of Buffalo, NY, five grandchildren; Lilia Emerson, Connor John and Camron Henry Brennan, Elijah John and Ethan George Mohalland, two sisters; Dolores Silfies of Concord, NH and Kathy Fisk of Wyalusing, PA and several nieces and nephews.

A Calling hour will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2012 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am with the Rosary prayed at 10:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool.  The Rite of Committal and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY at 2:00 pm.
