John "Jack" L. Engler, 91, of Phoenix, NY passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Oswego Hospital.  Jack retired from Goldberg's Furniture where he worked as an upholsterer and furniture refinisher for many years.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, tinkering, was an avid wrestling fan, and most of all spending time with his loving family.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 36 years, Margaret who died in 1999.  He was also predeceased by his son-in-law. Mark Pope who died in 2021, 2 brothers, William and Paul Engler and his parents, Leonard and Rose Engler.

He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Pope of Phoenix, NY, Kimberly (Douglas) Litz of Pennellville, NY, 2 sons, Daniel Engler of Liverpool and Timothy Engler of Clay, his sister, Judy Howard, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
