John A. House, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2023.  John was born in Phoenix, NY to Richard and Virginia (Zuefelt) House on July 8, 1946. He was a life resident of Cato, NY and graduated Cato High School Class of 1964.  John was an avid outdoorsman and was able to spend his days in nature as a Dairy Farmer locally while raising horses and Crop Farming in Iowa.  Whenever time allowed, John made his way to the Adirondacks he loved, especially Skate Creek Hunting Club. He was a member of Baldwinsville Rod and Gun Club and was an active member of their Trap League.  John is predeceased by his wife, Patricia A. (Coiley) House; a son, Richard H. House; a sister, Nancy Plouffe and a brother, Louis House.

Surviving to cherish John's memory are his son, Garth L. House of Bondurant, IA; a daughter, Heather D. (Mark) Warren of Cato, NY; four grandchildren, Joseph & Ethan Warren and Mariah & Dalton House; three great-grandsons, Arden, Easton and Gracin Warren and his English Setter, Jeff.

A celebration of life for John will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at Lysander Fire Hall, 664 Lamson Road, Baldwinsville, NY.  Burial will be private.
