John F. Konarski, Jr., 92, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Crouse Hospital. He was born and raised in Chicopee, MA by his parents, the late John and Stephanie (Janusz) Konarski. John attended the College of the Holy Cross, where he earned his degree in Business Administration. Following college, John met the love of his life, Beverly, on a corner in Chicopee and they married on February 9, 1957. He was drafted into the US Army and served in Korea. After serving his country, he went to work for Shawinigan Resins and then the Western Massachusetts Electric Company. In the mid-1960s, John, Beverly, and their three children moved to Liverpool, NY where he worked for the Miller Company. In 1974 he and his business partner, Al Ferrini, founded Ferrini-Konarski Associates, Inc, from which John retired in 2000.
John was an active member of Christ the King, St. John’s, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Churches. He was also active and a leader in the Lions Club, Illuminating Engineering Society, and other professional, charitable, and civic organizations.
John and Beverly were devoted to their family, faith, and felt very blessed in life. They shared an enthusiasm for boating in Central New York in the summers and spent over 30 years enjoying winters on Marco Island, FL. John and Beverly shared a blessed union of 69 years, living in Central New York.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by a grandson.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Beverly E. Konarski of The Nottingham; children, John Konarski III of Sliema, Malta; Mary Anne (Jeffrey) Strachota of Pewaukee, WI; David J. (Diana) Konarski of Clifton Park, NY; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. with the Rite of Committal and entombment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
