John C. Penny, 77, of Liverpool, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at his home with his loving wife by his side.  John lived in the Liverpool and Baldwinsville areas for many years.  He was self-employed as an Electrical Contractor where he owned and operated the Penny Electric Company in Baldwinsville, NY.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1966 -1969 serving in Vietnam from 1967-1968.  John was active and past President of the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club.  Throughout his life he enjoyed boating, golfing, and spending time with his loving family.

He is predeceased by his parents, Stewart (Alexander) and Anna Penny and two brothers, Bruce and Stewart Penny.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years Beverly Penny, two sons, John M. (Shawn) Penny of Greer, SC, and Joseph A. (Dara) Penny of Liverpool, his grandchildren; Collin, Lily and Zoey Penny and Kayla Gardner, sister-in-law, Joyce Penny and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.  Following the funeral service interment will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
