John J. Solazzo, Jr.

John J. Solazzo, Jr., 72, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Upstate University Hospital. For over 30 years he was the owner and proprietor of CNY Power Equipment in Liverpool. John was a graduate of Liverpool High School Class of 72. He attended Onondaga Community College. He enjoyed boating and received his Captain’s License from the U.S. Coast Guard. John was a great supporter of many community activities and projects throughout the area. He sponsored several race car teams at the Oswego Speedway, had a great love of hot rods and was an avid fisherman. John loved spending time with family and friends and most of all his loving grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, John J. and Esther Solazzo, Sr., brother, Robert Solazzo, and a sister, Janice Botsford.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Nancy (Kinn) Solazzo, daughters, Dr. Stephanie Solazzo (Alex Spector) and Laura (Philip) Burns, son, John J. (Heather) Solazzo, III, grandchildren, Briella, Charlotte, Isabella, Alex, Aurelia, a brother and eight sisters.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 10:15 am at the funeral home then will proceed at 11:00 am with the Rite of Committal and Entombment at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Mausoleum, Baldwinsville, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Upstate Cancer Center, 750 E. Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210.
