Joyce Ann George, 80, of Liverpool, NY and Clearwater, Fl passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born in Columbus, GA on November 22, 1944 to the late Lorraine B. Goehrig. In 1976 she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" George, a blessed union of 45 years. Together they raised nine children until his passing in 2021.

Joyce was an amazing person. She worked as a bus driver for Liverpool Central Schools and was a designer at Creative Florist. Joyce was a self-taught cake artist, running a specialty cake business out of her home. She had many talents, including cooking, baking and interior design. Joyce was creative in making the ordinary, extraordinary. She made a 5-star spaghetti sauce and mac and cheese. Joyce invented Birthday Cake for dinner, lidless popcorn parties and Magic Lady bathwater, with St. Patrick's Day bringing green toilet water and fully green meals. She was passionate about garage sales and thrifting, often finding antiques and treasures in the most unexpected places. Joyce was a leader in her retirement community, organizing dinners and parties. She was the luckiest gambler and always knew the time and place for BINGO. Joyce will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and signature style of pink lipstick, pink nails and smelling sweet. In heaven she joins Bob, son, William H., beloved daughter, Libby and sweet granddaughter, Ashley.

Surviving are her children; Elaine (Paul), Brian, Daniel (Sue), Michele (Rob), Marie (Dana), Matthew, William R. (Coretta), 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, siblings; Carol, Paul, Robert, Hank and her beloved dog, Roxie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 10:30 am in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY 13090. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.
