Obituary

Joyce Ann Kieloch (née Hornick) entered into eternal rest on Friday, surrounded by her family. Joyce was born April 12, 1940, to the late Frank and Pauline (Maher) Hornick. She grew up in Syracuse and graduated from St. Anthony of Padua High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from The College of Saint Rose, Albany, and a master's degree in education from SUNY Cortland. A lifelong teacher, Joyce taught at Morgan Road Elementary School for more than 30 years, having previously taught in Catholic schools. She is predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Bill Hornick and Rosemary Ingraham.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael G. of Liverpool, her son Michael F. (Molly) of Rumford, R.I., and three grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14, at 10 a.m. at Pope John XXIII Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in Joyce's memory to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208 or the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in Latham, NY.
