Joyce A. Luttinger, 88, of Fabius, NY passed away at home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1936 in Syracuse, NY, daughter to the late William and Katherine (Kugler) Roeckelein. Joyce was raised in Syracuse and attended Syracuse University. She was a Biochemist who worked at Bristol Laboratories as part of the team that discovered and patented Ampicillin. Joyce was known in a small circle for her love of animals, plants and music.

She is survived by her two sons, Henry "Pete" Luttinger of Syracuse, NY and William (Aline) H. Luttinger of Phoenix, AZ; two granddaughters, Olivia Jae Luttinger and Sophia Marie Luttinger; brother, Richard (Linda) Roeckelein of Washington, DC; and nieces, Jennifer Doohan and Katrina "Trinka" Roeckelein.

Private services will be held at a later date.
