Joyce Parody, aged 77, passed away on Thursday, after a brief illness. Born August 6, 1947, to loving parents, Vincent and Anna Kalina. Joyce grew up in Syracuse where she attended Sacred Heart School graduating with the Class of 1965.

Joyce lived in Liverpool for many years before moving to Central Square in 1988 after marrying her devoted husband, Lee. She spent several years working at Lockheed Martin until becoming a small business owner. Her store, Fancy Cat Consignment Shoppe, was where she loved helping people of all ages, shapes and sizes feel beautiful and special.

Her kindness, positive attitude, strength and selflessness knew no bounds especially when it came to her family. She enjoyed listening to rock music, going to the beach, spending time with her grandchildren and her faithful dog, Bo. She was beautiful, vibrant and colorful and would never be seen without her trademark red lipstick. She is predeceased by son Jason Parody.

Joyce is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Lee, her children; Dan (Stacey) Whitford, Kelly (Jeff) Berry, Jill (Greg) Griffo, Mindy (Mark) Kuss, Jeffery (Kim) Parody and her beloved grandchildren; Brianna (Jeff) Reid, Erika Berry, Makena Kuss and Jeffery Parody II.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life for Joyce.
