Joyce (Baker) Russo, 80, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 23, 2023. She was born in Syracuse, NY a daughter to the late Richard and Marie (Hauswirth) Baker. Joyce graduated from Chittenango High School, Class of 1960. She was united in marriage to Gerald Russo and raised three beautiful children whom she loved dearly. Together with her husband Gerald, she successfully owned and operated the Palermo Market and Sub Shop for over a decade. Joyce's whole life was dedicated to being a mother and helping others. Her home was always open to those in need. Her heart was full when her home was full. Volunteering at St. Michael's Church in Fulton; making perogies and rosaries, brought her great joy. She is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Gerald and three siblings; Chuck, Rick and Sharon.

Surviving are her beloved children; Elizabeth (Bill) Russo-Neadle, Geraldine "Geri" (David) Lombard, Carmen (Mary Beth) Russo. Joyce was blessed with 4 grandchildren; Jane Shumway, Kendall Lombard, Kayleigh Lombard and Benjamin Russo, longtime friend Don Hauswirth,  stepmother, Betty Baker, brother Kevin Baker and sister, Donna Baker.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 409 N. Main St., North Syracuse, NY 13212. The Rite of Committal and entombment will be private in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
