Julia F.
Abraham
September 8, 1939 – November 5, 2023
"Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories." On Sunday, after a very brief illness, Julia F. Abraham, 84, of Clay, NY, was placed in the loving arms of the Lord, while surrounded by her devoted children. Her beloved husband of 59 years, Joe, was waiting to greet her for their first dance in heaven. Julie was born and raised in Endicott, NY, the daughter of the late John and Catherine Murray. She attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, NY where she made life-long friends, even attending a reunion one week before her passing. Julia worked for over 30 years as a maternity nurse at Oswego Hospital and after retirement, maintained friendships by attending monthly luncheons. In 1962, she was united in marriage to Joseph F. Abraham and raised three wonderful children as well as being a mother figure to many. Their family and faith set a loving example to their children and anyone who knew them. Julie and Joe spent a lifetime making the most of every day including; camping at Southwick Beach, winters in Madeira Beach, FL, dancing, playing cards, parties, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Julie enjoyed her Irish heritage, casino trips, cheering on SU, sipping on a Cosmo, hummingbirds, butterflies, and almost any kind of sweet treat. Julie was a devout Catholic and an active member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Baldwinsville, NY. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her adoring husband, Joe, and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and James Greene.
Surviving to carry on her legacy are her children; Mary (Scott) Johnson, Joe (Tina) Abraham, and Beth (Ed) Rowell, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren (plus one on the way), and her cat and companion, Romeo, whom she rescued after her husband Joe's passing.
