Julia "Julie" LaSalle, 86, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was with her loving daughter Carol Seymour and Carol's husband Jim when she breathed her last and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Julie was born on October 16, 1936 in Lake Placid, NY, the youngest child born to the late Lawrence and Kathryn (Baker) Cassidy. She graduated from Lake Placid High School in 1954 and from CCBI in 1956. Julie later went on to work for New York telephone and Verizon and retired after 25 years.  She raised her family in Liverpool, NY.  She lived in West Palm Beach, FL as a snowbird and served on the condo board of directors.

She was an avid knitter and supplied her loved ones with many pieces over the years and delivered countless baby hats to local hospitals. She loved to say "If I'm sittin I'm knittin."  Julie loved to golf and play cards with her friends and family. She was an expert baker, delighting her loved ones with award winning apple pies, chocolate chip cookies, and other mouth-watering delicacies.  Julia is predeceased by her brothers; Gerald, Leonard and Daniel Cassidy, and her sisters; Rita Cassidy, Mary Sullivan, Eileen Efner, and Cathryn Niles.

Julie is survived by her children; Karen Smith, Linda (Kevin) Crook, David LaSalle, and Carol (Jim) Seymour, 9 grandchildren; Heather and Tyler Smith, Jason (Megan), Morgan and Lauren (Saccomanno) Crook, Jordan and Sarah Seymour, and Kyle and Michael LaSalle, 2 great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Skylar Crook and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027, with a funeral service to follow at 2:30 pm.
