June (Damon) Boardway was called home by God on Saturday, February 5, 2022. She born in Boston, MA to the late Ernest A. and Helen (West) Damon. June moved to Liverpool, NY as a young child where she resided for most of her life. She married her sweetheart, Robert "Bob" Boardway in 1946 and together they raised their adopted children, John A. and Cecelia H. Together they spent many happy summers in Fair Haven, NY at the family cottage with extended family. June was employed by Noyes Insurance Agency and worked in their office until her retirement. She enjoyed playing bridge, jigsaw puzzles, Yankee baseball and watching Jeopardy. June was a member of the Liverpool Presbyterian Church and later the Clay Community Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bob, son, John, daughter, Cecelia as well her sister, Phyllis (Damon) Schamu and stepmother, Florence (Hoey) Damon.

June leaves her brother, Karl K. Damon of Kansas City, MO; her sister, Linda (Damon) Dougherty of Morrisville, NY and Fort Myers Beach, FL; her daughter-in-law, Elaine Boardway of Liverpool and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oswego Hospital, St. Francis Commons and St. Luke Healthcare as well as all the caregivers who have been part of June's life.  She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be private.

Donations in June's memory can be made to the Clay Community Church or to the charity of one's choice.
