June M. Estes, 97, of Fabius, N.Y., passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023.  June was born in Syracuse and lived in Fabius since 1952. June was a graduate of O.C.C. and Syracuse University where she earned her Associates and Bachelor's degrees. She retired from Syracuse University where she worked as an Administrative Assistant in University Relations.  Prior to that she previously worked for the Fabius Central School District, Equitable Life Insurance and Lemoyne College.  She was a member of the honorary societies for scholastic achievement: Alpha Sigma Lambda, Golden Key National and Phi Kappa Phi.

She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald L. Estes who died in 2012.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Bradley E. Estes of Fabius, NY and her daughter, Yvonne M. Estes of Easton, NY and several cousins.

A calling hour will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.  A Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 pm.
