Karin S. Keough, 77 years old, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a resident of Liverpool NY for over 30 years. Karin was born April 1, 1945 in Kassel Germany. She came to the United States in 1971, and remained here since with Naturalization of US citizenship. Karin was a licensed hair dresser, and worked at Metz and Kerchner in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1980 she moved to New York State with her husband John Keough. Karin was a stay-at-home mother until her daughters, Tanja and Sanja graduated high school. Family dinner was always a priority with everyone eating together, her family appreciates this value. Karin also enjoyed attending her girls swim meets, and never missed one! When the girls graduated and went to college, Karin then worked for Macy's in their cosmetics department, first with Estee Lauder than Mac cosmetics. She loved these jobs and met many of her lifelong friends! Karin was also very social. She enjoyed hosting dinners, barbeques, and going to restaurants. Karin's friends became like family. Karin's family would like to thank some of her beautiful friends for the joy, laughter, support and more you provided to our mom and especially over this past month; Chuck, Bridgette, Isabella, the Hawaii girls- Kathy, Aileen, and Judy... and there were so many more!  Karin also loved dogs, and was an avid supporter of the SPCA. She owned dogs for over 30 years. Karin also enjoyed cooking and baking, and was one of those rare people who could do both well. If you were fortunate to be one of her providers, then you know because she enjoyed making plates at holidays of baklava, jelly cookies, and other delectables. Karin also enjoyed traveling. Myrtle Beach was her favorite, where she vacationed with family and friends for over 20 years. Mostly Karin loved her grandsons; Avery, Kiefer, Dylan, and Matthew. She often told people she had the "best" grandsons. She spoiled them with love and was so proud of their accomplishments! Karin was pre-deceased by her husband John J. Keough, Jr.in 2006.

She is survived by her two daughters; Sanja Schneider and Tanja (Darren) Rosa and her four grandchildren; Matthew Shoults (Cassidy Colvin), Avery Rosa (Julia Vazquez-Aldana), Kiefer Rosa and Dylan Rosa.

We will pay respect and celebrate Karin's life and spirit on Monday, August 8, 2022 with calling hours from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027, with a short service immediately following at 2:00 pm. There will be no burial.
