Katherine M. Burt, 68, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  Katherine was born in Tuxedo, NY.  She was a graduate of Rockland High School and then went on to earn her AAS Degree from Rockland Community College where she received her degree in Nursing.  She retired from James Square Nursing Home where she worked as an RN for over 40 years.  Katherine loved her cats. She also loved gardening, being a nurse, and most of all spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her of husband of 47 years, Walter J. Burt, Jr., her children; Carolyn (Nicholas) Kachiros, Charles (Claire Iverson) Burt, her sister, Patricia (William) Bransford, grandchildren; Katherine and Alexander Kachiros and Lucia and Vincent Burt and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.  A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northern Onondaga Volunteer Ambulance (NOVA), 4425 Buckley Road, Liverpool, NY 13090.
