Obituary

Kathryn Ann Finnerty, 98, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Elderwood of Liverpool.  Kathryn was born in Scranton, PA, and has lived in the Galeville Liverpool area for over 63 years.  She worked as a Receptionist at the James Square Nursing home for 21 years.  She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Finnerty, and daughters, Maureen Lenart and Patricia Springer.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Glenn) Phelps and her son, James Finnerty, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Catholic Family of Epiphany Church, 1001 Tulip Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am.  The Rite of Committal and burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY.
