October 1, 1947 – May 12, 2023
Kathryn Irene Hall, 75, of Skaneateles, NY passed away on Friday, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Francis House. She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late William and Irene Carey. Irene grew up in Syracuse, graduating from Central Technical High School. She continued her studies at Lemoyne College, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree and completed her education at Syracuse University obtaining her Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling. Irene taught Biology and Chemistry at Henniger High School and retired from Port Byron Central School District as a Guidance Counselor. For many years, she helped select the Hymns for her husband, whenever Dr. Hall preached and was instrumental in coordinating many of the over 700 weddings that he performed. Irene loved to travel, especially taking annual trips to Disney World. Irene will be remembered as a faithful, loyal, genuine soul.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Rev. Dr. Russell C. Hall; her daughter, Jennifer (Kenji) Hall, sister-in-law, Melinda Ward, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Road, Camillus, NY 13031, with funeral services to follow at 4:00 pm. Burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
A special thank you for the wonderful care given to Irene by Hospice, Francis House, Jefferson Hospital, Wills Eye Institute and Upstate Hospital.
