Klara B. (Bowkun) Grimsley, 87, of Liverpool, NY died Monday, March 23, 2026 at The Cottages at Garden Grove.  Klara was born in the Ukraine to the late Gregory and Anna Bowkun and moved to Syracuse, NY as a small child.  She worked for Farm Family Mutual for nearly 20 years and owned and operated Grimley's Tavern in Central Square with her husband, Robert A. Grimsley.   She was a member of Liverpool First United Methodist Church.  Family was the most important part of Klara's life, especially her grandson, Easton. Klara was united in marriage to Robert Grimsley, a blessed union of 29 years, until his passing in 2001, she is also predeceased by her parents and her brother, Paul Bowkun.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons, Donald Grimsley of Cicero, NY and David (Brittany) Grimsley of Cicero, NY; a sister, Tina Dubyna of Clinton, NY; a grandson, Easton Grimsley and a niece, Lena O'Brien.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool, NY 13088 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, NY.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Klara's name may be made to Grimsley Support Foundation, 5320 West Taft Road, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
