Larry P. Gross

Larry P. Gross, 79, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the Cottages at Garden Grove, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Larry was born in New York City to the late Morris and Minnie on February 4, 1947. After growing up in Lawrence, NY, Larry earned his bachelor's degree in engineering from Clarkson University and his master's degree from Syracuse University. He remained lifelong friends with many of his Clarkson fraternity brothers, who have amazing stories together. Larry spent his career at the Department of Environmental Conservation, overseeing solid and toxic waste for Region 7. He was enthusiastic about SU sports, holding basketball season tickets from the time of Manley Field House through his final years. He was an avid golfer in retirement, as well as a fan of blackjack and appeasing his wife's love for ocean cruising. He was a kind, dedicated, empathetic, and loving person who would do anything for his family.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Carolyn; son, Aaron (Karen); daughter, Carrie (Keith); son, Derrick; 4 grandchildren, Julia, Annabel, MacKenna, and Damon; sister, Melissa (Richard), many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
