Larry Charles Hewitt went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2023.  He was born February 5, 1961 to Charles Hewitt and Muriel Hewitt.  He graduated from Chittenango High School and remained in the area all his life.  He worked at Kopp's Canteen in Chittenango, and then went on to Stickley Furniture where he worked 42 years as a Craftsman. He also worked as a security guard.  His most recent post being at Rite Aid Distribution Center in Liverpool.

Larry is well known for his love of the New England Patriots and Syracuse University sports.  He loved golf.  Even when he was unable to golf anymore because of an injury, he loved to meet the guys at the golf course and kept track of weekly scores for the league.  Larry always loved funny movies, good jokes and was VERY passionate about politics.

Larry is predeceased by his mother and father, Muriel and Charles Hewitt. He is survived by his loving wife, Hong and step-daughter Hillary.  He is also survived by sisters, Nancy Hewitt of Sadler, TX and Cathy (Dennis) Leetz of Cicero, NY; three nieces; two nephews; three great-nieces; one great-nephew; a maternal aunt, Dorothy (Raymond) Winslow and many, many cousins. Larry was also blessed to have many friends who he considered family.

Calling hours will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:00am – 11:00am at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be private.
