Leonard P. Cummins, 74, passed away at home on Sunday, August 4, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.   He was born on May 3, 1950, in North Syracuse and graduated from North Syracuse High School before attending Onondaga Community College.  Lenny worked for P&C and Tops until he retired in 2015.

Throughout his life Lenny loved travel by rail and road trips with Myrtle Beach being his favorite destination.  He enjoyed flea markets and garage sales and wouldn't leave a store without finding a Hot Wheels car to add to his collection.

Leonard is predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Jane Cummins, and his sister, Karen.

Lenny is survived by his love and partner of 27 years, and wife of 3 months, Loraine Kotary.   He is also survived by her family: Michael Kotary of Myrtle Beach, SC with wife Delen and children, Kaden and Dexter; and Andrew Kotary with wife Melissa and children, Lucas, Logan, and Lillien. He also leaves behind his adored and spoiled black cat, Trixie.

At his request, there will be no formal funeral services. Instead, his family will soon gather around a fire pit to roast hot dogs and marshmallows and celebrate Lenny's life.
