November 18, 1931 – January 12, 2022
Marilyn A. Mellone, 90, of Liverpool passed away on Wednesday at home after a lengthy illness. A native and longtime resident of the Syracuse area, Marilyn has lived in Liverpool since 1956. She was an active parishioner and also worked as a Housekeeper at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool. Marilyn's life devotion was to her family and her church. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Anthony M. Mellone, Sr., her son, Anthony M. Mellone, Jr., two sisters, Sister Marionella Graham and Phyllis Emmi, two brothers, William and John Graham.
Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons; Charles (Colleen) Mellone of Cicero, NY, David Mellone of Liverpool, NY, John (Carmie) Mellone of Cleveland, OH, three daughters, Elaine Mellone-Bickerstaff, Liddy (Fred) Hintz and Patricia Mellone all of Syracuse, daughter-in-law, Teresa Mellone of Liverpool, NY 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Carol Marra and Joan (Nick) Aragona both of Camillus, NY, two sisters-in-law, Eve Graham of Penfield, NY and Gladys Graham of Hartwick, NY, brother-in-law, Ray (Mary Jo) Mellone of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave. Liverpool, NY 13088, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal and entombment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse.
Contributions can be made to the Salvation Army Syracuse Area Services, 677 S. Salina St. Syracuse, NY 13202.
