Mark J. Banick, age 66, of Syracuse, NY, passed away in his home on the morning of September 28, 2021. The son of Carl Banick and Marie Hanyak he was born April 30, 1955, in Liverpool, NY.   Mark was an alumnus of Liverpool High School, class of '73, and LeMoyne College, '78.  Mark was a devoted follower of the Grateful Dead and an avid sports fan who loyally cheered on his favorite New York teams. In recent years, he was an active advocate for persons with disabilities. He will be remembered fondly as a loving husband and father who always found magic in the smallest of moments; as a person who loved gatherings, family, and friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Marie in 1977.

Mark is survived by his father, Carl, sisters, Karen Banick and Lisa Banick, daughter, Amanda (Andrew) Winkler two sons; Mark (Liz) Banick and Joshua (Charlene) Banick, and grandchildren; Benjamin, Vivian, and Olive.

Services will be private.
