Marlene Venuti, 84, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Cottages in Cicero. She was predeceased by her husband Ray and son Jeffrey in 2018.

Marlene told great stories of her life growing up in Syracuse. She was at one time a buyer for Helmar Clothing company where her eye for fashion was certainly an asset. She also shared her flair for decor as a window dresser for the Hallmark store in Liverpool back in the day. Marlene enjoyed finding beauty in many forms with her love of flower gardening, make up, jewelry and her wardrobe. She had a keen eye and wit. Marlene also enjoyed feeding people, and her house was often filled with the welcoming smell of sauce cooking.

Marlene is survived by three sons; William (Paula) Knapp of Jordan, Daniel (Marcia) Knapp of Baldwinsville, and Joseph Venuti of Austin, Texas, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Marlene also leaves her dear friends, Rose Jessie and Patty and Kayla McKeon to cherish her memory.

Marlene's loved ones would like to thank the staff from cottage 21 at the Cottages at Garden Grove for their care and support during her time there.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville with a funeral service celebrating Marlene's life to follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
