L. Baranowski
April 30, 1947 – May 8, 2022
Martin "Marty" L. Baranowski, 75, of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He retired from General Electric, where he worked as a Technician for over 25 years. Marty was a life member serving over 33 years for the Liverpool Fire Department. During his time with the department he not only served as a firefighter but, was a fire line officer and served as a Lieutenant and Captain with the Fire Police. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, the outdoors, and most of all spending time with his loving family and grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Hurst Baranowski and a brother, Leonard Matulewski.
Surviving to cherish Marty's memory are his children, Michael Baranowski, Michele (Kevin) Lane, Kimberly Baranowski, and Amanda (Steven) Anderson; brother, Chester (Mary Jo) Baranowski; brother-in-law, William (Nancy) Hurst; seven grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Maurer Funeral Home, Inc., 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am in St Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, with the Rite of Committal and burial to follow in Liverpool Village Cemetery.
Contributions in Marty's memory may be made to the Liverpool Fire Department, Inc., 1110 Oswego Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
