Mary L. (Ryan) McCabe, 85, of Liverpool, NY, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital after a battle with COPD.  Mary was born in Syracuse, and was a graduate from the Assumption Academy.  She later went on to become an RN when she earned her Nursing Degree from the St. Joseph's School of Nursing.

Mary was a long time parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Liverpool.  She was involved with the CNY Mopar Association and enjoyed her many camping adventures with her best friend and husband, Dick.   She was like a full time nurse to all her neighbors and friends.  Strong, nurturing, witty, funny, and humble, where just some of her many characteristics.  Mary loved everyone and was one to help anyone who needed her assistance whether it would be physical or just prayer.  Most of all she loved and cared for her family more than anything.  She lived a long blessed life full of wonderful memories.

She was predeceased by her parents, Timothy & Lucy Ryan, brother, Joseph Ryan, daughter-in-law, Lynn McCabe and great-granddaughter, Juliana Abigail Weller.

Surviving to cherish Mary's memory are her husband of 64 years, Richard E. McCabe, her children; Denise (Bob) Mabee, Rick (Jennifer) McCabe, Shawn (Jerri) McCabe, Lisa (Dave) Laughlin, Mary Kay McRae and Elizabeth (Michael) Fragale; her sister, Helen (Cliff) Oram, 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a large extended family.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Avenue, Liverpool, NY  13088.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am.   Burial will take place in the spring in Tully Cemetery.
