Mary M. (Hillegus) Nichols, 82, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Augustus and Alveda (Basta) Hillegus. She was a graduate of Bryant & Stratton and worked for the Town of Salina and Wegmans. Mary enjoyed sewing, crafting and going to the dollar stores. She was delighted in taking walks along Onondaga Lake and attending the concerts that were held at the Liverpool Park.
She is predeceased by her parents, her former husband, Peter, brother, James Hillegus and son-in-law, Craig Cumoletti.
Surviving to cherish Mary's memory are her children; Deborah K Nichols, Susan K. Cumoletti, Karen K. Nichols (Scott Cole), Patrick (Carly) K. Nichols, grandchildren; Kara & Karlee Cumoletti, Ross Cumoletti (Brooke Kemp), Rollin Nichols, Michaela (Jamie) G. Annunziata and Anthony (Taylor) Badolato and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at the Maurer Funeral Home, Inc. 300 Second Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, with funeral services to follow at 11:30 am. Following the service the Rite of Committal and burial will be in the Liverpool Village Cemetery.
