Matthew K. Hawkins, 50 of Liverpool, NY passed away on Friday surrounded by his loving family. For the past 9 years, Matthew worked as an HVAC Technician at Syracuse University.  Prior to that he worked at Cooney Air Conditioning and Heating for 15 years.  Matthew was a graduate of ESM High School and went on to receive his Associates Degree from SUNY Morrisville College.  He was currently pursuing his Bachelor's Degree at Syracuse University.  He was a past member of the Minoa Fire Department and an honorary member of the Moyers Corners Fire Department.  He was also a member of the Mason's Cayuga Lodge 221 F. & A.M. in Scipio Center, NY.

Matt enjoyed camping as well as watching and spending time with his children in various activities such as hunting, fishing, dance competitions, musical performances, and trap shooting.  But most of all just spending time with his family.

Matthew is predeceased by his mother, Linda Beasley Hawkins.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Denise Hawkins, his son, Braeden Matthew and daughter, Madylin Irene, brothers and sisters; Chris Hawkins, Sue (Dave) Livesay, Tracy (Andy) Currie, Rob (Danielle) Tuttle, Julie Hawkins, Laura Petreszyn, his father, William Hawkins, In-Laws, Gary and Gail Tuttle, nieces and nephews, Cole, Grace (Caleb) and Ellie Hawkins, Jonathan (Monica), Michael, Timmy and Daniel Livesay, William and Emma Currie, Mason and Brody Tuttle, Brock (Grace) Tongue, Brooke (Dan) and Autumn Petreszyn, Arabella, Derek, Joey and Vinny DeVito, Cassidy Atkinson, great nephew, Peyton, his four-legged best friend, Lyndon, several aunts, uncles and cousins including his KLC Camp Family and many special friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 am at Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Comers.
