Maureen "Meme" (Douglas) Deegan, 69, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born on December 5, 1955 in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late David and Patricia (Proper) Douglas.

She enjoyed her career as an LPN for over 40 years, especially in pediatrics as the favorite nurse of every patient she had. Maureen enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and bartending at the stadium of her hometown Syracuse Mets. Her biggest joys were decorating her home for the holidays and cherishing the time she spent with her loving family.

She is predeceased by her parents and her sister, Patricia (Douglas) Taylor.

Surviving to cherish Maureen's memory are her husband of 45 years, James F. Deegan, her sons; Timothy J., Brian D., Kevin C. and Eric J. (Teresa) Deegan; her beloved niece, Casey, her grandchildren; Colin, Aiden, Taylor, Caelyn, Antonio, Annie and Lucy, her brother, David (Lauren) Douglas, her sisters; Pamela (Gary) Carlson, Bonnie (David) Brazell, Amy (Val) Kheyfits and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt. 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
