Maurine (Renne) Maurer, 80, of North Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Loretto, surrounded by her family. Born in Syracuse, NY, she graduated from North Syracuse High School, Class of 1960. Maurine continued her education attending Cosmetology school and worked as a Hairstylist. In 1963, she was united in marriage to Theodore James Maurer. The couple had lived in Rochester, NY before she returned to Syracuse in 1978, after losing her husband after 14 years of marriage. Maurine was employed as an Office Manager for Dr. Gary R. Schopfer, DDS in Liverpool, NY until her retirement. Maurine loved all kinds of crafting. She built custom doll houses and was a master decorator for any occasion. Maurine also enjoyed being a member of the North Syracuse Senior Citizens Club, spending time with friends.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons, Michael (Leslie) Maurer and Mark (Gina) Maurer, three daughters; Michele (Jeff) Maurer-Robbins, Kerry M. O'Reilly and Kelly Toole, 11 grandchildren; Gregory (Cheryl), Marissa, Devin (Breanna Piscetelli), Stephen, Breanna, Alexandra, Sophia (Charles), Aiden, Jason, Isabelle, Adeline, three great-grandchildren; Mila, Camden, Alessa, her brother, Donald (Diana) Renne, two nephews, Nicholas Renne and Donald (Janet) Renne and a great-niece, Melissa Renne.

There we be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 am in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY 13090. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
