Michael A. Parsons, 30, of Liverpool, NY passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Syracuse, NY and was a 2011 graduate of Liverpool High School. Michael graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Global Supply Chain Management from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ where he was a Division 1 Baseball Player, as a four-year starting shortstop.  After college, Michael was a Station Manager with DHL in New York City, a company that provided him extended support throughout this difficult time.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents, Russell and Nancy (Romano) Parsons of Liverpool, NY; brothers, Mark Parsons of Rochester, NY and Daniel (Darcie) Parsons of Liverpool, NY; a nephew, Anthony Parsons of Liverpool, NY; several aunts, uncles and cousins and his loving canine companion, Jace.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:00 am in Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church.  The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.

Michael's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the entire medical staff of Wilmot Cancer Institute in Rochester, NY, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and especially to the Crouse Hospital Emergency Department ICU staff for their compassionate care of Michael during his final days.
