Nancy E. (Crowley) Sweeney, 79, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Monday. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Saint Anthony's of Padua High School. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a talented knitter, wrapping everyone she loved in her handmade scarves. Nancy was one of the kindest people you could meet and was quick to share her gratitude with everyone she met, whether at the grocery store or while being cared for in the hospital. She was proud to be an LPN, having returned to school after raising her children. She worked in a variety of jobs and retired from her favorite, in Liverpool School District's food service department. Nancy was an active long-time parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.  She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald, her parents Daniel and Estelle (Finn) Crowley, her stepfather Ralph Hansen, two sisters, Terry and Susan, and nephew Patrick Savage.

Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons: Gerald "GT" (Sarah) Sweeney and John T. Sweeney; two daughters: Karen (Keith) Mullane and Maureen M. Sweeney; 7 grandchildren: Erica, Tory, Christina, Sean, Owen, Declan and Piper; two brothers: Leo (Anne) Crowley and Tim (Karen) Hansen, sister, Chris Savage; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 11:00 am in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool, NY 13088. The Rite of Committal and burial will be private in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Food Pantry.
