Obituary

Nicholas "Nick" J. Fick, Jr., 90, of Liverpool, NY passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born in Syracuse, NY on February 28th, 1933, son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Jemola) Fick, Sr. Nick joined the Navy in 1952 and married the love of his life, Annette (Higgs) Fick in 1957. For many years, Nick was a traveling Pharmaceutical Salesman with various companies. Nick enjoyed traveling and frequently drove to New England in the Fall with Annette for Lobsters and the beauty of the East coast, and also enjoyed his trips to South Africa and Georgia to see his sons and their families. His passion for the water continued after the Navy and he enjoyed many summers at his cottage in Chaumont Bay with his family. He was a member of the Crescent and Onondaga Yacht Clubs, along with Omsra and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. In his later years he loved to be near and on the waters of Onondaga Lake. Nick and Annette loved living in the Village of Liverpool and treasured their friendships with friends and neighbors. To know Nick was to love him, and he will be missed by his Church family at Berean Calvary Chapel in Kirkville, his Friday Night Dinner group and also his Monday night cinephile movie friends. He was blessed with six grandchildren and kept track of all their endeavors throughout the years. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Fick and his son, Roderick L. Fick.

He is survived by his wife Annette Fick of Liverpool, NY, his son, Randall (Emma) Fick of Bufford, Ga., his daughter, Leticia (David) Fergot of Liverpool, NY, two sisters, Judy (Richard) Amann of Liverpool, NY and Lorraine (Richard) Satanek of Buffalo, NY, six grandchildren; Levi and Samuel Fergot, Sara and Reese Fick, Mika and Jordan Fick, three great-grandchildren; Rory, Amelia and Beau, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with Military honors will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, NY 13215.
