Nicholas S. Just, 96, of Baldwinsville, NY passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025. Nicholas was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Nicholas and Catherine (Jurys) Just. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Medical Corp in Japan. Following his time in the service, he was a Chemist for 28 years with Grumman Aerospace on Long Island, NY where he and his wife raised their family. He moved to Baldwinsville, NY with his wife in 1994 to be close to his grandchildren. Nick enjoyed being outdoors, especially landscaping and gardening at his home. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family in earlier years. Listening to music and watching Broadway shows always brought a smile to Nick's face. Nick found so much joy in spending time with his grandchildren, most notably making his famous ice cream sundaes for them.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Helen (Marshall) Just; a son, Robert (Lisa) Just of Baldwinsville, NY; a daughter, Nancy Just of Baldwinsville, NY; a sister, Judy Mancuso of Charlotte, NC; his three beloved grandchildren, Steven (Elise) Just, Shelly Just and Amy (Kevin) Nickels; four great-grandchildren, Ryder Just, Trevor Just, Mack Just and Maggie Nickels.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11:00 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Immediately following the mass, the Rite of Committal and Burial will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
