Nicholas J.
Silvaggio
June 23, 1946 – June 25, 2025
Nicholas "Nick" J. Silvaggio, 79, of Clay, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 after a difficult battle with brain cancer. Nick was born and lived all his life in Syracuse and was a proud Northsider. He was a graduate of Henninger High School, and was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Bristol Myers Squibb after 37 years of service. After he retired, he assisted his wife, Becky in making flower deliveries for her florist company. Nick enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and all SU sports. His favorite color was orange not only because of Syracuse University but, because he loved hunting so much and wearing his orange vest. Nick was a lifetime avid fan of Elvis Presley. One of his favorite vacations was to Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis) and then to Graceland.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Antoinette, his son, Nicholas and brother, Anthony (Midnite), plus countless aunts, uncles and cousins.
Surviving to cherish Nick's memory is his caregiver and loving wife of 26 years Rebecca "Becky" Huntington Silvaggio, brother, Joseph, daughter, Michelle (Stewart) Coleman, grandchildren, Zachary and Sierra Coleman, nephews, Anthony and Jeffery, great nephew, Nico Silvaggio, uncle Ernest Palma, sister-in-law, Sally Silvaggio, four stepchildren, two step-grandchildren, Zayria and Ian whom he loved and adored, and his daughter-in-law, Colleen Silvaggio.
